The Daily Telegraph reported a survey showing that more than one in ten 10-year olds were saving towards their university education or a deposit on their first home. And over 70% of them know what a pension is. Perhaps some scepticism is in order: while the survey claimed that 98% of the youngsters were saving regularly, only 15% of adults admitted to having started saving before the age of 15, which is a big discrepancy. And can it really be true that under half of 10-year olds are saving to buy toys or gadgets?
